Fantasy League

Well here i am about to write the paper over my experiences throughout this process and i just wanted to check in one more time. My fantacy league is going great and has really been a new and fun experience for me. Im not doing so well as far as compared to other players cause it is my first time but it has still been fun. I learned all about how to make trades, sit players, activate players, manage my team, the scoring system, etc. So thats where im at for a little bit about whats been going on.

Fantasy League

So i participated in my fantasy league today and just wanted to wright a little bit about what has been going on. My team is doing well and i am really enjoying the process so far. I drafted a bunch of good players and am hoping all turns out well with that. I am also continuing to communicate with other players in the league about anything and everything occuring on a day to day basis. Who is successful, who is not, advice, what i missed, etc. I am really starting to come around on this process and hopefully it will help me down the road with my practicum project.

Fantasy League

So i've continued participating in my fantasy baseball league and today i got on and messed with it for about thirty minutes or so. I just basically got on to take a look at everything and see if there were any changes that i might of wanted to make or anything like that. I ended up leaving it how it is and just continued to chat with a couple other players who were online at the time. I also went in depth will starting to prepare my roster and thinking about exactly what it was that i wanted to do. I started thinking about how i could build my team to make my league as successful as possible.

Comparison

I started thinking about my comparisons to one of my friends Jackson Salzman when he is online compared to how he is in real life. Jackson is the kind of guy who if you are in person hanging out with him he is pretty quite and very shy in saying things that he really means. For example if its a conversation about girls or baseball or a situation dealing with friends or whatever; he is very layed back in saying what is on his mind. However if you are talking with jackson online which i tend to do a lot via facebook chat then he can talk for days. He will wright paragraphs on the chat about things that are going on. Out of all this the main difference between Jackson in person compared to online is that he will use slang on numerous occasions that makes him hard to understand while talking to him online. In person me and him have no problem communicating and laughing about random stuff but online i honestly cant even talk to him because i dont understand his version of slang and the way he words things. He will use abbreviations for lots of words, etc. So big difference between Jackson Salzman in person while communicating and the Online Jackson Salzman who is a little difficult to figure out sometimes.

Guest Speaker

When i became aware of the fact that we were going to be listening to a guest speaker in our upcoming class i became curious to a point where i didnt know exactly what to expect. As i was listening to the guest speaker i tried to compare some things that she said to my experiences of what we have been learning in class. Some things that i found to be very similar were for example; she touched on the topic of politics many different times throughout the lecture and politics have played a significant role in our class because of our involvement with computers and the online industries in general. I think our involvement with computers is linked here because politics are everywhere in some form or another, especially in the communication amongst online users all over the world.

Common Interests

After reading about some of the other students experiences with computers i realized that there were many different ways that the students in this class were brought up involving computers. Some of us were linked with computers right away in life at a young age and were gifted in this area, whereas others picked up on computers a lot later in life and are just sort of average when using them. Also i think the use of computers definately interest many of us at different levels. Some like the technology side and are very interested and others are not as involved in the use of computers.
